Amazing news Rooney and Cate fans. Their latest project Carol has earned famousness in a very short time and is pretty popular worldwide, and here’s an exciting news:

The Alliance of Women Film Journalists has announced the nominees for their 2015 EDA Awards recognizing the amazing work done by and about women — both in front and behind the camera. According to their site, “the EDAs are named in honor of AWFJ founder Jennifer Merin’s mother, Eda Reiss Merin, a stage, film and television actress whose career spanned more than 60 years. A dedicated foot soldier in the industry, Eda was one of the founders of AFTRA and a long-standing Member of AMPAS.”

This is news dedicated to The Alliance of Women Film Journalists EDA Awards nomination. Carol main cast and crew has been nominated as well. The following article Variety wrote:

Romance-drama “Carol” took five nominations for the fifth edition of the international awards from the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts. “Carol” scored nominations for best film, best direction for Todd Haynes, best screenplay for Phyllis Nagy, best lead actress for Cate Blanchett and best supporting actress for Rooney Mara.
